Examination and treatment procedures:

Training in the field of general psychiatry:

  • 60 supervidierte and documented initial examinations
  • 60 two-hour seminar in general and case specific. Psychopathology, with presentation of 10 patients
  • 10 hours seminar on standardized survey findings with the use of debt and self-assessment scales, and participate in a seminar
  • implementation, evaluation and documentation of 40 completed treatment with continuous supervision, including the disorder-specific psychotherapy share the treatment of the primary areas of mental illness, organic-related mental disorders and addictions
  • 40 hours Case Seminar on pharmacological and other somatic therapies including practical applications
  • 10 hours of participation in a supervised group members
  • 40 hours hands-on seminar on social psychiatry, including somatic,
  • pharmacological and psychotherapeutic methods
  • expertise in the areas of care, social, civil and criminal law


Training in the field of psychotherapy:

  • 100 hours seminars, courses, internships and case seminars on theoretical foundations of psychotherapy in particular general and special theory of neuroses, development and personality psychology, educational psychology and depth psychology, group dynamics and family, talk therapy, psychosomatic medicine, developmental, learning history and psychodynamic aspects of personality disorders, psychotic disorders, addictions and age-related diseases
  • 16 double hours autogenic training or progressive muscle relaxation or hypnosis
  • 10 hours seminar and 6 treatments under supervision in crisis intervention, supportive procedures and guidance
  • 10 hours seminar in psychiatry and psychotherapy case conference and liaison work with
  • supervision
  • 240-hour treatment with supervision after every fourth hour, either in behavior therapy or psychodynamic psychotherapy or in recognized scientific psychotherapy process and practices across the range of mental disorders including addictive disorders in which the focus of psychotherapy

Range of treatments available, such as in patients with schizophrenia, affective disorders, fear and obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders and addictions



  • 35 double hours Balint group or interaction-related casework
  • 150 hours individual or group self-experience in either behavior therapy or psychodynamic psychotherapy and in a scientifically recognized Process. The self-awareness must be in the same process, in which also the 240 psychotherapy sessions are done.


Forensic psychiatry

Training content

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • ethical and legal issues dealing with the mentally ill, disturbed and involve disabled people
  • the detection and treatment of mentally ill offenders and disturbed
  • judicially arranged psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment, even in the measure and correctional
  • the assessment of criminal responsibility, the credibility of witnesses and witness statements to drive
  • instruction in the basics of the forensic measures, including subsidiary compliance with the regulations
  • the assessment of dangerousness and recidivism prediction
  • the assessment of the negotiation, detention and interrogation capability
  • assessing the maturity of adolescents under juvenile court law and its application in criminal, civil and child custody
  • questions of civil, care and housing law, including capacity, testamentary capacity, process capability
  • forensic expertise in the areas of social, civil and criminal law
  • administrative and traffic-related legal issues
  • the assessment and treatment of disorders such as aggressive behavior of sexually deviant behavior, suicidality, syndromes of intoxications
