Global Recognition@PG Germany!

There is a lot of debate regarding the recognition of the PG Medical Specialist Training qualifications acquired in Germany. AS far as its recognition in India is concerned, one needs to go by what the MCI(Medical Council of India) says on its website.

The below given link a.k.a, the Third Schedule of the MCI Act lists recognized Medical qualifications which do not appear on the First Schedule of the MCI Act.

Look for “Fachartz Fuer Chirugie – Surgical Specialist qualification AND “Fachartz Fuer Innera Frankheiten – Internal Medicine Specialist Qualifications. Please click http://www.mciindia.org/ActsandAmendments/TheThirdScheduleofIMCAct.aspx

I rest my case. I am unable to comment beyond this.

      Hello Ajay

This is a question which I get on a regular basis. German Medical council requires foreign doctors to have a valid medical degree + registration. This is the absolute minimum eligibility criteria apart from the language and other licensing requirements.

Now, as a policy, we do not encourage foreign doctors with medical degrees from third countries(eg: Indians with degrees from Russia, China,Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus etc..) to join our program UNLESS they have at least 2 years of work-experience POST registration in India.

      Best of luck
