Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the general content of training for Sections B and C
  • the indication of investigators to ionizing radiation and nuclear-physical methods to cure diseases
  • the radiological examination procedures with ionizing radiation, including its reporting
  • the magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, including its reporting
  • sonography, including its reporting
  • the interventional radiological procedures in interdisciplinary collaboration including the treatment of acute pain
  • the detection and treatment of acute emergencies, including life-saving measures
  • maintenance of vital signs and resuscitation
  • the basics of radiation biology and radiation physics at the use of ionizing radiation on people
  • the physical principles of magnetic resonance imaging and biophysics, including the fundamentals of patient monitoring and safety measures for patients and personnel
  • the basics of radiation protection for the patient and staff, including personnel monitoring and radiation protection of the structural and device
  • client devices

 

Examination and treatment procedures:
ultrasound examinations, including Doppler/DuplexIntervestigations at all organs and organ systems
diagnostic radiology, including computed tomography, for example, of:
skeleton and joints
skull, including special recordings
spine
chest and thoracic organs,
abdomen and abdominal organs
urogenital Tract
breast (all methods)
vessels
magnetic resonance imaging, for example, in brain, spinal cord, nerves, skeleton, joints, soft tissues, including the breast, chest, abdomen, pelvis, vessels
interventional and minimallyinvasive radiological procedures, of it:
 vascular punctures, and additionscatheterizations
 catheterization procedure, such as PTA, lysis, fragmentation, stent
 percutaneous insertion of implants
vasoocclusive process, such as embolization, sclerotherapy
puncture method for the extraction of tissues and fluids as well as drainage of pathological accumulation of fluid
percutaneous therapy for pain and tumors, and ablative and tissue stabilizing procedures

 

Pediatric radiology

Training content

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the radiological diagnosis in children with special reference to radiation protection measures
  • the specific features in the diagnosis and the use of ionizing radiation and nuclear-physical processes in childhood, including radiation biology and radiation physics
Examination and treatment procedures:
ultrasound examinations including Doppler/Duplexexamination to the organs and organ systems in children
diagnostic radiology, including computed tomography in children, of it:
in the growing skeleton
 the skull, including partshots
 on the spine, pelvis, extremities
diagnostic radiology, including computed tomography in children, of it:
 on the chest and thoracic organs,
 on the abdomen, including the gastrointestinal tract
 the urogenital tract
magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy in children, for example, in brain, spinal cord, skeleton, joints, soft tissues, chest, abdomen, pelvis, vessels
participation in interventional radiology and minimally invasive procedures in children

 

Neuroradiology

Training content

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the fundamentals of neurosurgical and neurological-psychiatric disorders
  • the investigations of the central nervous system including the skull base and its adjacent spaces of the autonomic nervous system, peripheral nerves by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging
  • the investigations of the CSF spaces of the head and spinal canal with intrathecal contrast medium as myelography, cisternography
  • the contrast agent catheter angiography of cerebral and spinal vessels
Examination and treatment procedures:
ultrasound examinations, including the Doppler/Duplexexamination extracranial and intracranial cerebral vessels
native Xray diagnostics
diagnostic and functional computed tomography at
 the brain and CSF spaces
 base of the skull and neck
 spine and Spinal Cord
 musculoskeletal system
diagnostic angiography of cerebral and spinal vessels, of it:
 catheter angiography
myelography
diagnostic, dynamic, functional magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopic including:
 the brain and CSF spaces
 head and neck
 spine and Spinal Cord
 musculoskeletal system
 interventional neuroradiological procedures, of it:
 catheterization procedures (thrombolysis, PTA, stent)
 vasoocclusive interventions (embolization, coiling)
