Specialisation – Pathology

Pathology

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the general content of training for Sections B and C
  • the special pathological anatomy of various body regions activity, including the autopsy and histological examinations epicritic evaluations
  • the macroscopic assessment and sampling of material for histological morphological and cytological examination, including methods of technical editing and coloration
  • the treatment and diagnosis of histological and cytological preparations, including bioptic frozen section analysis
  • the special methods of morphological diagnosis, including immunohistochemistry, the morphometry, molecular pathology, for example, nucleic acid – protein and studies of cytogenetics and the asservation of test samples for additional studies
  • the photographic documentation
  • interdisciplinary cooperation in the detection of diseases and their causes, their monitoring of disease progression and evaluating therapeutic interventions including
  • the conduct of clinical-pathological conferences

 

Neuropathology

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the contents of the basic pathology training in the area
  • the postmortem activity of particular brain, spinal cord preparations, dorsal root ganglia, peripheral nerves and skeletal muscles share
  • diagnostic evaluation and treatment of neurohistological, histochemical, electron microscopic, and molecular biological preparations
  • the molecular neuropathology
  • the clinical-experimental or comparative anatomy and pathology of the nervous system

 

Examination and treatment procedures
examination and treatment procedures based training
autopsies of the central nervous system, including histological examinations, epicritic evaluations and documentation
histopathological, especially neurohistological examination including CSF cytology and frozen section analysis
neuromorphological diagnosis using eg, histochemistry, electron microscopy, tissue culture, including molecular pathology, for example, DNA  and RNA analysis

 

Pathology

Knowledge, experience and skills in:

  • the contents of the basic pathology training in the area
  • the autopsy activities including special preparation and detection methods
  • macroscopic and microscopic diagnosis
  • refurbishment of the autopsied bodies and the preservation of human diagnostic histopathology from different areas of medicine
  • diagnostic cytopathology
  • gynecological exfoliative cytology as an integral part of specialist training
  • the dermatohistology as an integral part of specialist training
